Pauline Roy Chowdhury was awarded the "Silver Camera"

? Capture Majestic Moments?

The “Silver Camera” is an international photo contest, honoring the best international equestrian sport photograph of the year and it is presented jointly by the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V.

? Emotion behind the picture ?

Like any other sport photos, it witnesses a whole emotional rollercoaster of the sportsmen, but here everything is doubled, since in equestrian photography there are two living beings in the crosshair of the camera at the same time. Every picture tells a different story from a different angle.

? About this year's contest ?

140 photographs were submitted, only one could win. This year, the German show jumper Jana Wargers, last year's winner Mirka Nilkens, Andreas Müller (CEO Medienhaus Aachen) and ALRV board member Birgit Rosenberg decided on the winner and the placed. The jury was convinced by the submission of Pauline Roy Chowdhury. Her photo, which captured an extraordinary moment during the World Championships in Herning, Denmark in 2022, stood out from the submitted entries thanks to a perfect interplay of emotions and technique. Second place went to photographer Diana Wahl, who captured an intimate moment while riding out of the Deutsche Bank Stadium. Third place went to Aachen photographer Andreas Steindl, with an impressive combination of carriage and rainbow.

Congratulations to the owner and professional manager of COUNT MIKES STUD on the prestigious award! ??
